Does this toy have catnip or some other chemical to make cats like it?
Here is the toy in question, Hartz Mini-Mice (link below). It doesn’t say anything about catnip on the package, but my cat really goes nuts for them, more so than she ever did with other toy mice that do have catnip in them, and they’re the cheapest ones at the store.
The only other thing I can figure is their size & the fact that they’re made with rabbit fur according to the package.
If that’s all it is, that’s ok with me but if its some kind of weird chemical they’re using I’d feel a little wary of that.

On another site someone mentioned
"…Inside was a strange white substance that crumbled."
which is kind of worrisome.
(link where that quote came from i can’t post the whole statement due to the char. limit)

any info appreciated!
It should say on the package if it has any chemicals or catnip. I haven’t used those but my cats go wild over the mylar crinkle balls and they don’t contain anything-just a wad of mylar. Cats get excited sometimes. If you’re really concerned call Hartz and ask customer service. That number should be on the package as well.

The reason that your cats can be atracted to these toys can be they are made out of Rabbit fur. The white stuff could be the backing. but if you have any concerns about they toy stop using them and call the company with your concerns.
