My son was chewing on a catnip mouse toy, will it hurt him?
I took it away as soon as I saw him with it.
With my personal experience. It did not hurt either of my children. It is widely used as a homepatic alternative or many uses but of course this is not what Hartz or a line like that generally sells. My kids have ate the Smarty Kat CatNip and they were fine. If he got a toy that was treated with catnip he is probably ok
Hope this helps

Now THIS is a weird coincidence. My wife came home tonight and mentioned that her friend at work that has many dachshunds had one die and when they did the autopsy it had a catnip toy in its stomach. I had never heard of a "catnip toy". I said, "I thought catnip was edible?" and she replied, "Well, this was the whole toy!" So I don’t know the answer to your question, I just thought this was a weird coincidence.

Why don’t you call poison control to find out?

I don’t think it will hut him. Some cultures give babies catnip tea to sooth them. It’s just an herb. He should be OK.

not to my knowledge
Cat nip makes a great tea for fevers and aches its part of the mint family
I think he should be fine though little germ factories!
I would be more worried about the cat saliva and the bacteria that’s from that. Im sure you already washed out his mouth so He will live to see another day and to chew on something else:)
just be lucky you dont have to call poison control bc your child has started teething on the window sill and ingesting some of the paint…t his was in 2001 of course but thats how that little darling teethed
