What are ways to get my kitten active?
Shes 4 months old, loves to just knap on me, which is very cute, but can i get her to exercise more? i have a wand that she chases but only for a few minutes…i got her catnip toy mice. anything i can do to give her more energy? i feed her science diet can food with some dry food mixed in.
You could try a laser pointer. A lot of cats really love them. Some cats like to chase balls fo paper you throw for them. Other cats like the soft sponge balls a lot.
You may just have a kitty who’s not super-active, though, and as long as she’s otherwise healthy I wouldn’t worry too much about it.
I can tell you really care about your kitten, so you might want to rethink the dry food. I fed it to mine for years, but recently some vets who study feline nutrition have come to believe that all the extra carbohydrates (and low moisture content) can cause obesity, diabetes, kidney and urinary tract disease, and inflammatory bowel disease.

Good luck to you and your kitten. I hope you have many happy years together.

Drag a long piece of string throughout the house. She will love to chase it.

Sounds like you are doing things right. Maybe she’s just a laid back cat.
As for the string, make sure it’s more like shoelace size so she does not swallow it.
Cats easily get thin string, ribbon, dental floss, stuck on their barbed tongues and are unable to get it out, they then swallow it and it becomes tangled in their intestines, requiring emergency surgery to save them.
Are you feeding her kitten food. Do that till she is 1 year old.
Have her spayed by 6 months old.
Keep up the good work.

Get a lazer light for her. Haven’t seen a cat yet that can resist that little red dot!

kittens tend to sleep alot. I would try one of those mouse toys that squeak when batted. it worked for my kitten. you could try changing its food. I feed mine Iam’s kitten food and she’s a little ball of energy. a lazer light is always fun.
