How to tell if a toy has catnip in it?

I bought 2 small mouse toys from a bucket of random toys. They kind of sound like they have beads in them or something, like a rattle. They weren’t marked as being catnip toys, but my kittens are going crazy for them. I’m not sure if they just really love these little things or if I bought catnip toys without realizing it. I’m not concerned about it or anything like that, they’re having a lot of fun, but I’m just wondering if there’s a way to tell.

Usually, if the cat seems especially attracted to a toy, it probably has catnip in it, was treated with catnip or was sitting by other toys with catnip in them. Buy a can of catnip spray or another toy with catnip in it and see if they act the same way over these. Probably treated with some sort of catnip.

It would have to state that catnip is in them if there was.
If it’s a small stuffed toy it has to be stuffed with something….that’s what you’re hearing…..
    foam beads or something

Catnip is dried leaves, so it would make no sound. I go by smell. I can smell the toys and tell if there is catnip in them.
