   My roommate has 2 10 year old cats and mine is almost 2 and they play with the same little mice. They like to play under the door with each other too and they pass the mice to each other under the door. My roommates cats stay more in her room.

   Yes, it’s ok. I wouldn’t worry about her unless she is breaking them open and actually eating the catnip. If that’s not happening she is ok! Congrats on your new kittne! Good Luck!

   Usually kittens under 6 months old don’t get any effect off catnip. It’s ok to let her play with the toys though. Whether she’ll grow up to be a catnip "addict" will be determined later on.

    I have 3 cats-I call them my boys, two are 15 and one is only about 9-10 months.

    Only in the past few months has the youngest responded to catnip. The older boys go absolutely nuts about it. It makes them kittens again. The younger one likes to eat it; but that is completely harmless.

    I don’t know why kittens don’t respond to it as much. But frankly anything that your kitten can play with will make him happy. They’re so curious!
