What do you people think about CATNIP?
My cat doesnt give a rats A$$ about catnip and neither did my previous cat. I honestly think that people have just invented catnip toys to BS cat lovers into buying cattoys with Catnip. It doesnt do anything for my cat and he usually completely ignores a catnip toy.. in favour of other toys.
I’ve always had cats my whole life. And none of them cared for catnip.

First of all, how oldis your cat? Most kittens under a year old don’t react to catnip. Also, some cats simply do not react to catnip, which I have never seen. My cats both go NUTS over catnip.

I guess every cat is different. I’ve had 3 cats throughout my life (2 still around) and every single one has LOVED catnip. Key is not to buy into the "toys" but get the pure catnip plant or dried leaves. I actually have grown the plant in my garden and at the end of the season dry it in my dehydrator just like any other herb I grow and use it through the winter. My cats have a great time. They roll and bat at anything and everything. Adorable!

My cat’s love catnip and always have, however some cats are repelled by the scent of catnip. It makes them sick like marijuana does to some humans. If your cats avoid it, just stop buying it.

Not All cats like it, just like not all people like the same thing.
Four of my cats Love it (one didn’t like it until she was over a year) and one could care less about it.

yes im sorry, but my cats like cat nip as well… i was amazed that, as soon as i put down the catnip plant, that looks exactly like long grass, my cat went up and started to eat it
i guess some cats like it and others dont

My Linx doesn’t like it at all. He just leaves it lay there and i end up sweeping it up and throwing it away. He is 2 1/2 and i’ve tried several times.

Some cats just don’t like it. I don’t buy toys with catnip, but I do buy catnip. One of my cats goes crazy for it. The other doesn’t like it. My neighbor gave me some fresh catnip, he loved that too.

My cat has no interest in cat nip either. She loves cat grass, though, so I may try the fresh cat nip one of these days and see if it affects her. Her favorite toys are the fur mice. They’re just the right size to bat around, and I think there’s something about the real fur that brings out her inner hunter.

All cats i have ever had have not been interested in the supposed to be the great Catnip!
they would sniff it then walk away unimpressed so now i don’t bother with it,cats are a good judge so if a cat don’t like it then it cant be anything special can it!
but honestly i always wonder why the fuss about it,toys and many things get Catnip on or in them these days, but cats ignore it so leave it were it is on the shelf in a store!
what i think of it not much at all, pointless even!

my cats aren’t really that interested, i think it depends on their mood to begin with. If they are in a playful mood and then i give them the catnip toy sometimes they will rub their head on it and roll over and sometimes attack it, but hardly ever.
