Are there any toys for cats and dogs to play together?
We just adopted a RagaMuffin kitten, Wishie, and she and our Golden Retriever, Dug, adore one another.
Dug, of course, is significantly larger than Wishie and there seem to be no games that they can play together. The cat toys are too small and fragile for Dug. And the dog toys are just too big for Wishie.
Any suggestions?
All really great answers – thanks, everyone!
I’ll try them out this weekend.
Try an old towel. My dog loves to play with towels with her kittens, or a rope toy too. My dog Ginger will grab one end and the kittens will chase her around the house trying to grab the other end!! it very comical!!

Try the mitten with long funny fingers for Wishie. Dug can watch. Discipline him if he gets too rough with the kitten. You may have to play with them separately for a while till Wishie gets bigger.
When Wishie is big enough, she and Dug will play together by chasing each other and wrestling and playing hide-and-seek.

I sometimes catch my flat-coat retriever playing with stuffed cat toys, although she frequently destroys them. There seems to be a "language barrier" between the one cat who seems friendly to my dog, and the dog. The cat will rub on the dog’s legs, roll around on his back, then the dog will do a puppy bow, which seems to freak the cat out a little. The dog also seems to enjoy chasing the cats, which I discourage because the other cats don’t like it. Hopefully they will be able to work something out. It’s wonderful that they get along so well!
