is it ok to play with a stray cat using my indoor cats toys?
i was doing this, but then thought maybe i shouldnt…i dont know what can be spread from cat to cat from their saliva.
Not until the cat has been checked for contagious diseases. Don’t let your cat have the toys back and wash your hands thoroughly after contact with the stray. If the stray is sneezing or has eye discharge, you even need to change your clothes before being around your cat. If you plan on keeping the stray around, please have it tested by the vet.

I would say no. I have researched cats and found many diseases and illnesses stray cats may carry. So, I wouldn’t do it if I were you.

get some toys for the stray or just keep using the same ones that you have been using just don’t let your cat use them after the stray has.
