My 6 week old english bulldog puppy just ate a small plush cat toy. What do I do?

He was chewing on the toy then he started choking. I tried to get it out, but he swallowed it. It is a plush round fuzzy cat toy about the size of a half dollar coin. What should I do?

if the dog is not in any distress leave it alone, it will crap it out in a day or two

Go to the vet and be prepared for surgery. That can kill your dog. The vet might try to make it vomit it up if it’s early enough, so go ASAP. It could get stuck in the intestine and cause a blockage otherwise.

Call your vet right away. If your dog did not choke on the toy, half the battle is over. The next danger is weather he can pass the object. If he can’t, he will need surgery. Because of his age and size, you need to take him in and have an xray right away!

Do not wait, because this can kill a young pup like yours very quickly.

Where did you get a 6 week old puppy? That puppy should still be with it’s mom, and siblings, a minimum of 2 more weeks! No puppy should be adopted before 8 weeks old! As far as the chew toy, you really should have a vet take a look at him, because stuffing out of the toy, can cause a blockage in his intestines. If there is a blockage, it may require surgery to remove, it the puppy does not pass it!

if you take the puppy to the vet..your vet will give him something to try and pass the toy…if that fails surgery is the only option

the pup is to young to be away from his litter mates..the breeder was very irresponsible letting it go at such a young age…. FYI…bulldogs are notorious for getting into and eating things they should not..so be careful and keep things away from your pup..except safe toys
