What home made cat toys can I make?

I have got a little kitten and he is really playful. I bought him some toys from the pet shop but he wasn’t interested. Does anyone know any good home made cat toys that I can make?

Gallon milk carton rings/lids are digged by my cats! Also empty toilet paper rolls, old socks can be good, if you have a flashlight you can turn off lights in a room and shine the flashlight at a wall and he might try to catch the light (works better with a lazorpen/pointer thingie), small pieces of paper, pretty much anything small (if you trust him not to eat it).

But some cats just don’t like playing with toys, he might prefer playing with your hand more. Which might not be a good thing. Just let him get his own ground on playing, however, if he starts clawing at the furniture you should definitely get a scratching post..actually, you should probably get one right now, just incase.

If you feel he needs to get out his playfulness/energy but he won’t play with anything that is good for him (or your stuff), you could let him outside if you have a fenced in yard or, maybe get catnip. Not all cats respond to it, though so don’t get worried if he doesn’t react. The catnip will interest him, no doubt (if it works on him)!

My cat use to like crumbled newspaper, cardboard boxes, milk cap rings, and tin foil balls.

A ball of tin foil, a sock stuffed with plastic grocery bags, an empty tiolet paper roll, a strip of fabric tied to a string. Cats will play with almost anything. Don’t give them anything that they can swallow. Use your imagination.
