Are there any cheap petshops where I can buy a cat and pet supplies cheap?
I really want a kitty! But I can’t afford one…. HELP!
Please do not buy a kitten from a petstore, you are just asking for trouble. Most of the time they will be sickly and have come from a mill type situation. Either adopt a kitten from you local HS or if you can’t go that route, look in the classifieds. People are always giving away kittens.

Go to an animal shelter to get a cheap cat and they usually also fix the cat and give the cat a general check-up also for cheap pet supplies you generally just have to check around but I good idea would be to check places like a dollar store or big lots.

First off, check your local papers and look for flyers posted in pet shops. Lots of people have ‘Free to Good Home’ kittens
I’m not sure about where you live, but I would suggest shopping around for pet supplies. You don’t have to buy the most expensive pet food and plastic dishes are fine for the cat to eat out of until you can afford regular pet bowls. Try The Dollar Tree. They have some pet supplies there. You may want to check other dollar stores to see what they have to save you money.

Pet shops are horrid places to buy pets. They all come from abusive mills and some even have sicknesses. You could always rescue a cat in need from your local shelter or even from the nearest petsmart. There is always a need for loving homes. It will not take very long to find someone giving away cats for no cost. Pet supplies can be bought anywhere from walmart, to a local feed store, to petsmart or petco.
My advice is to invest in a pet… It should be considered part of the family! If you can’t afford the cat and supplies, you can’t afford to take good care of your new pet. Make sure you have enough money to give it good quality food, a litter box, kitty litter, a travel crate, toys to play with, ect.
Good luck!

Look in the paper, often they are advertised for free. But make sure you get it neutered or spayed. There are many lost cost clinics in most cities. I buy my animal supplies are Walmart. So far I have found them to be the cheapest although the prices are going up lately because of the price of gas.

I agree with many of the other posts. Please save a kitty from the animal shelter. Save up a few more dollars and put that money to good use. Kittens are usually a bit more than older cats but all need homes. When you rescue a pet from an animal shelter, often times that money goes on to help the other animals in need. Both of my cats came from shelters and everyone who comes to my home comments on how friendly and playful they are. They truly are the best cats in the world.

Don’t buy a kitty from a pet shop. There are TONS of them available for free through your local Humane Society. They will give them their first shots and spay them for free. Do not pay for a cat. Use dry kitten food from the start so you don’t ever have to deal with that stinky wet food stuff.
