Does anyone know the margin on pet supplies – dog food, toys, leashes, etc.?

I am considering opening a pet store in NY/NJ. Need to know what mark-up and margin is typically on pet supply items for dogs and cats to work into my business plan. I cannot find a thing on the internet. Thank you!

Here in NC we did at least a 40% mark up ( cost divided by .6). We managed a farm and garden store and had a pet section.
