Is it possible for me to start a business?
I’m 20. I live in Alabama. I want to open a pet supply store. I don’t have a business degree but I was thinking about trying to find a partner who knows the business side because I am very experienced on the animal side. I will specialize in cat and dog supplies. I also have no credit. I don’t have bad credit, just no credit. Is there anything out there that helps people like me start a business? Also, I don’t have a job either. It’s hard to find a job out here.
You can start your own business, it might be easier if you went to school for business and worked at a pet store first, but regardless its still worth a shot. If you cant take out a loan form the bank maybe some one else can for you, and you repay that person. In the meantime you can always create a web site about pet related stuff and make money with affiliate ads.

A pet supply store will have a lot of overhead. Without credit, it will be difficult to start. Also, many of the small pet stores fail against companies like Petco and Petsmart.
If you like animals, start a pet sitting business. You should be able to pick up some clients and start making money. Once you have money, you can grow your business and expand into other things.
