Cat toys for lazy cats?

One of my cats has gotten incredibly overweight (she’s 15 pounds and is supposed to be 10-12) and I’m trying to find ways to help her slim down. I’m already working on the food part of the diet (I’ve been working on it for two years now), but my vet says that isn’t enough anymore. She needs more exercise even though she already play wrestles and chases my other cat every day. The toys I have for her don’t seem to work. I have a wand, a laser mouse, and a wheel, all of which she gets sick of after three minutes. The only thing she will play with is her catnip-filled stuffed rabbit. I’m at my wits end; I want find two toys that will work with her: one in which I can interact with her, and one that she will play with when I’m gone during the day. Any suggestions would be so very helpful! Thank you!!!

cats love to chase laser pointers and for when your gone its hard to say what she will play with you could try rolling up some aluminum foil into a ball but other than that you’ll just have to try different toys to fit her.

A laser pointer works for my cats and dogs point it @ the ground and they chase it..

My cat is in a similar situation. I would say, get a kids fishing pole, and attach some type of toy to it, and toss it around. If your cat doesn’t chase after it, then tie a Twinkie to the line, sit on your cat’s back, and dangle the Twinkie in front of its face. If it doesn’t run to try and catch the Twinkie, then tie your cat to a treadmill.

p.s. I do not condone animal cruelty.
