Cool home made toys for cats?
Toys they’ll love and keep them entertained. Fun toys to play with them that can be made at home.
Cats will play with almost anything. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy, just a piece of paper rolled up or a stick or a piece of yarn to drag around. They’ll love it and you don’t need to spend any money. Just be creative! The cats won’t mind!

you could have a 4×4 and wrap thick rope around it for a scratching post
or a pink pong ball and glue feathers to it
or a pompom on a string

well if you have like a duster(you know with feathers) take some of the feathers and tie or glue them to a string. then let them snif it and then move it around, they will chase it.

my cats love a rolled up piece of tin foil, or rolled up piece of parchment paper, box with holes cut in, large size drinking straws, my one cat loves to play with a coffee filter! If you use catnip, use it sparingly as cats can become desensitized to it and wont enjoy it anymore. good luck!!

Thick yarn. The most simple toy for a cat, but they love it! Drag it across the floor in front of them and they’ll claw at it. Only use thread if you are supervising them – they can easily eat it and it can get knotted up in their stomachs if you don’t watch carefully.
Button tied or two hair bands tied to yarn. My cats like this one, too, even my 8 year old lump of a tom who’s favorite pastime is sleeping and lying in sun.
Old, clean sock filled with catnip; make sure to tie the not at one end tight. My cats love to tear these open!
Cardboard box with holes in it. This one may take a little more time to construct. Cut one big hole for the cat to crawl into and various small holes for them to stick their paws out and wave. When they are inside, dangle toys outside the box and watch them try to claw them from inside!
Fishing pole-type toy – find a good, strong branch, maybe two or three feet long [maple will do great] and tie a piece of yarn onto the end. On the end of that yarn, tie a button, a rubber band, or a feather… Go fishing for your cat with this toy, hahah.
Simply take a piece of paper and scrunch it up. Easy and fun for your cat.
Feathers! Cats love ‘em, but if you find them outdoors, be sure the wash them first. Try not to use ones that are smaller than your hand. Tie a bundle of them together tightly and attach them to a string for another toy.
Large paper bag. Never use plastic bags! You can find them at any grocery store. My cats like sitting in these and peeking out at me.
Toilet paper rolls. Instead of throwing them out, why not recycle them into cat toys? They are a good size for cats to get a grip around them and they enjoy rolling them around, biting them, and scratching at the paper.
Unfolded newspaper… Make it into little tents or leave big spaces under them so your cat can hide in them. To get them to go in there, drag a thread or a feather through it. For extra fun, place some catnip between folds.
Phew, that was a lot. Hope you found this useful! Cats are so much fun to play with, watching them leap and chase after toys. Good luck!

Take a soda cap, and throw it in the tub in front of your cat, so he or she sees it. It will be like a hockey experience for your cat.
