what is the best way to discard cat toys?
I have a box of old cat toys my cat has outgrown
does anyone have any idea what the best thing to do
with them
will shelters take them or should i just throw them away
The shelter would probably love to have them. Call to see.

Call the animal shelter, sisca, humane society, aspca…………they will love to have them. If you know someone with kittens. I’m sure they would as well. My older cats still play with their toys…I don’t see them, but I’m always stepping on one in the middle of the night and that was before I rescued the new kitten in the rain a few days ago……He’s so small and fast…I have to be extra careful, I don’t step on him…he came in and took over. We just love him to death.

Rinse any dirty ones off and take them to a local animal shelter. They are always willing to take them. I just dropped off some to the shelter I volunteer at recently, and by the next time I saw them all the kittens were playing with them.

Freecycle, or call some cat rescues, or call the animal shelter. They’ll tell you if they need them or not. I wouldn’t throw them away unless they’re completely tattered.
