Will my new cat use already used cat toys?
At first I fostered a kitten from the shelter, but I fell in love with her and wanted t keep her for good. So I bought a bunch of toy, cat trees, beds, etc. But a few weeks later the shelter demanded the cat back, and I had no choice. It was pretty depressing without a cat in the house, so I decided to adopt another kitten. Will my new kitten use the stuff my other cat used? Or do I need to get new ones?
Naw, it should still use them. But it just depends on the cat, maybe they wont like the smell of it and not use them. My two little cats will use previous use toys from my older ones.

Your cat should play with the new things. My new cat played with my other cat’s toys without hesitation.

It all depends on the cat. It might not like the scent the other cat left on them and think there some other cat’s turf and will stay away, or it just won’t care.

How sad that you weren’t able to keep her Anyway, I would say a new cat will probably love the toys. The new cat might smell them at first because he smells the other cat, but I don’t think he’ll mind. You could always put them outside to air them out if needed. Good luck.

Why didn’t you just go to the shelter and tell them you wanted to adopt the kitten you were fostering and pay the adoption fee? You just can’t keep a foster cat, it belongs to the shelter but they will allow you to adopt.
Generally cats will play with the gently used cat toys. Some may feel very territorial and try peeing on them to mark it as its own.
